With Urbanears earbuds, the listener gets lost in an immersive sonic experience. Moving continuously through the abstract 3d space is meant to hook the viewer with the mystery of what the ident is about, until the Urbanears reveal comes on the end.
The design challenge was to introduce the various color option of Urbanears boo earbuds in a way that felt compelling. I did this by drawing inspiration from abstract photography to create an immersive space for each color.
I referenced treatments of geometric 3d space, detailed textural 3d environments and real life projection installations.
I shot macrophotography of swirling liquid and projected it in 3d space to create the abstract vibrant visuals, with the camera moving through the scene continuously to add to the immersive quality.
